A Simple Goal

What if we can make the blind see, make the deaf hear, and make a computer talk to us? Each of these goals is simple yet grand. Reaching any of them takes 5-10 years dedication. But each goal is doable, within our grasp.

What if we dedicate our life to a simple goal, and commit to make it happen? Isn’t it exciting? When we marvel at new technology and the speed of human innovation, isn’t it great that we are part of the enablers?

We cannot decide where we came from, but we can decide where we are going. For everything that created us, and put us at this singular moment, we can decide how to make the best of all we have. One way to do this is committing to a simple and long-term goal. In achieving this goal, we seek the best expression of ourselves, our talents, knowledge and resources. In fulfilling this goal, we move closer to our ideal, and receive deep gratification. In achieving this goal, we will be well compensated by the society and get high award.

One day, before we realize it, we wake up seeing our dream in front of our eyes. That will be the most gratifying moment.

Yesterday’s dream is today’s reality. Flying, Talking remotely, seeing moving pictures, and so on. Tomorrow, there will at repair routinely done on our aging body and agine cells, there will be robots helping us do house chores, and computers acting like our friends. We are at the dawn of a great era. Before long we will see all of them become reality.
